Empowering education: Handling complaints - what you need to know from a legal and governance perspective

Our education experts will be joined by law firm Womble Bond Dickinson at our Newton Aycliffe office for the second session in our exclusive 'School Leaders breakfast' roundtable series. We invite you to share your insights and contribute your experiences over coffee and breakfast for our in-person roundtable on handling complaints - what you need to know from a legal and governance perspective

This session will allow co-hosts from law firm Womble Bond Dickinson to share their legal experience and knowledge to give us a broader overview of dealing with challenges. We'll address how to handle complaints from parents, as well as:

🔍 How to ensure the investigation process is robust and transparent

😓 How to deal with difficult situations, including a breakdown in positive relations

🌟 What schools and trusts should do in relation to best practice

📜 How to ensure the complaints policy is robust and covers key areas

⚖️ Advice from a legal perspective to avoid common pitfalls and ensure you are acting correctly.

These complimentary events, hosted by our EPM team, will bring together valuable experience and education sector expertise to provide informative discussion forums during the coming months.

Please note: delegate numbers are capped at 20 for the best possible learning opportunities and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

We understand how tough the current climate can be with budgets continually being squeezed and the education landscape continuously changing. Therefore, it's more important than ever that we have a community and sounding board for school leaders to share their learnings and challenges in a safe space.

Don't miss your chance to join sector colleagues, hear from industry experts, and enjoy a fantastic networking opportunity (with the added benefit of refreshments).
