Understand the legal requirements and good practice for managing redundancies
With the education sector being subject to constant change, schools and trusts must be equipped with the necessary tools to navigate through tough times. Our CPD-accredited training not only provides the essential skills to confidently manage reorganisations and redundancies, but also emphasises the importance of maintaining good working relationships.
We understand the critical issues that come with such processes and aim to reduce the risk of employment tribunals by providing comprehensive training to key stakeholders. EPM can guide you through these challenging times to ensure your school’s or trust’s success
About this event
Join our experts as they advise you on the legal and practical aspects of managing reorganisations and redundancies and take you through the process end-to-end, including:
- how to comply with employment law and best practice by looking at noticeable case study examples
- how to look at alternatives to redundancy, voluntary redundancy and establishing a procedure
- when to collectively consult, how to carry out consultation and timeframes
- how to prepare the business case
- how to carry out the selection process and set criteria, including selection pools, commonly used selection criteria, scoring, discrimination and automatic unfair dismissal
- when to make statutory redundancy payments and other relevant payments
- the steps involved in dismissals, appeals, and claims.
On completion of this course, you will receive a CPD certification. Since the training is accredited, it also supports your employees’ professional development.
